Whatman* FilterCup* Vacuum Filter Funnels

This disposable filter funnel comes with a range of 70 mm filter media and has a filtration area greater than 31 cm2. This convenient device is molded from polypropylene with an integral, heat-bonded filter. Recommended for aqueous solutions, dilute acids, dilute bases, aliphatic alcohols, aldehydes, esters, ketones and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Limited applications for aromatic hydrocarbons. Not recommended for halogenated hydrocarbons. Paper Grade 113 contains a wet-strengthening agent which may leach out when used with solvents. Filter funnels are usually used under vacuum with the reusable FilterCup stem (not included in standard box; must be purchased separately). FilterCup units snap easily into and out of the stem which is compatible with filtering flasks and stoppers. 250 ml capacity.
