Protector* PVC Acid Digestion Hoods
Protector PVC acid digestion hoods provide the durability of Type I unplasticized PVC lining with additional features for special applications, including 1/4 in. counter balanced Lexan* sash to resist hydrofluoric acid, epoxy-coated stainless steel fixture panels for additional corrosion resistance, factory-installed, remotely-controlled PVC gooseneck faucet and two service fixtures and a built-in washdown system operated by a control fixture on the left front of the hood. PVC interior with integral bottom and drainage trough is heat welded to provide a smooth, seamless and safe work area. Black enamel-coated hardboard work surface supports the hoods integral bottom. An air flow warning light on the blower switch is connected to a pressure sensor which alerts when a drop in air flow velocity occurs. 34 in. hood depth permits the use of oversized apparatus. Hood includes two 100 watt, vapor-proof incandescent lights (three on 72 in. model), two switches, one 115V duplex electrical receptacle and internal wiring. An air foil, automatic air bypass system and counter balanced sash are included. A PVC collar on top of the hood allows quick connection to the exhaust system.
