KONTES* RODAVISS* Joint Cyanide Distillation Apparatus

This apparatus is designed for the determination of cyanide levels by analysis of industrial wastewater, drinking water and solid samples. By means of a reflux-distillation process, cyanide is released from the sample as hydrocyanic acid (HCN) and absorbed through a scrubber into a receiving vessel containing a solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The resulting solution can be read by either titration, colorimetry or cyanide-specific ion electrode methods.
